Biblical Studies Carnivals

The Biblical Studies Carnival serves to highlight a variety of blogs -- from well known to lesser known. All blogs are welcome to submit relevant posts to the Carnival. In this way a Carnival is an excellent way to let others know about a blog you frequent or gain new readership to your own blog.

Here is the complete list of past, current and upcoming Biblical Studies Carnivals with their official numbers and months:

Question: I would like to host a Carnival. How do I go about doing this?

Answer: Calls for new Carnival hosts will go out periodically. When that happens, talk with whomever the coordinator is and they will set you up. For 2012, Jim Linville of Dr. Jim's Thinking Shop is the organizer.

Question: Why do the months on some of these Carnivals not match their "official" month?

Answer: Carnivals usually come out on or just after the first day of the month, but they feature content from the previous month. For example, a Carnival published on February 1st could easily (and mistakenly) be called "February Carnival"; however, this "February Carnival" actually features posts that were all written in January. In this case, it is properly named the "January Carnival."

Question: Isn't that a bit of a nitpick?

Answer: Absolutely. However, this list is managed by a librarian. It's in our nature.
